The PowerRiser for Tiny6 is a custom-engineered expansion board designed specifically for the Lenovo ThinkCentre M90q (Gen 1 and Gen 2) and ThinkStation P340/P350 systems. It breaks out the proprietary Tiny6 motherboard connector to provide an open-ended standard PCIe x8 slot alongside a dedicated NVMe M.2 socket, dramatically expanding the storage and compute capabilities of the platform.

3. The Architecture & Performance
Unlike standard OEM risers that only route the primary CPU PCIe lanes to a single expansion slot, the PowerRiser taps into the motherboard's unused PCH (Platform Controller Hub) lanes routed to the proprietary high-density header.
This enables a true split-lane environment without requiring complex CPU bifurcation mods.
- The high-speed x8 link from the CPU routes directly to the open-ended edge connector for your GPU or network card.
- The secondary x4 link routes strictly to the M.2 NVMe slot. Note: Even on platforms marketed as PCIe 4.0 capable (like the 11th Gen CPUs in the M90q Gen 2), the secondary storage link routed through the PCH will negotiate at maximum PCIe 3.0 speeds.
4. Mechanical & Installation Prerequisites
:::warning Clearance Limitations If you intend to install an open-ended x16 graphics card, ensure the physical length of the GPU cooler does not exceed the internal dimensions of the 1-Liter chassis. You may need to run the unit with the top cover removed or modify the case structure for extreme cooling configurations. :::
Installation Sequence
- Power down the system completely and disconnect the main power supply brick.
- Slide off the top chassis cover and remove the internal 2.5" drive caddy if one is installed.
- Remove any stock PCIe risers currently populated in the system.
- Align the Tiny6 PowerRiser perfectly with the high-density proprietary socket on the motherboard and press down with even force.
- Secure the riser board to the chassis utilizing the rear bracket mounting screw.
- Seat your NVMe storage drive into the M.2 slot and screw it down, then insert your PCIe expansion card into the x8 slot.
